Youtube Wendy Jeffries TOM THE CAT- Clicker Training the Formal Retrieve. Teaching cats through clicker training teaches us patients like a cat! So many of our teaching videos are in one session just for you to get the idea of what we do... But it REALLY doesnt show the time and patience of every day 5 min sessions that are needed. Cats are latent learners. They like to think about it overnight and the learning process continues. Humans are like this too and its good for teachers to know this concept. Wendy Jeffries is the only person I know that put up daily clicker training sessions so you know HOW WE DO IT. Take a look at Tom the Cat and learning the formal retrieve. This is to teach how to pick up a stationary object and place it in the hand. She started out with the object in her hand and gradually goes forward.
