Yup, new website went live just before and am very pleased with Robin’s work (Robin Sallis, Cerulean Design). It is simple but quite elegant and very easy to update (thank goodness). The main page that I will change is the Featured Product each month where I will also put specials and recipes which will be archived for your returning pleasure! We decided to make it a more static site as advice from a lot of people who do sell from websites has informed me that it takes 70-75% of work daily for a single person to monitor and action. When it is only moi that is a big load of time. I already sell via phone or email and credit card to people from around Southland and Stewart Island. That system works well as it is. If you chose that option and lived in Invers, chances are I’d deliver it after work or the next morning before work myself. All part of the service, peoples. If you get the chance, have a gander to familiarise yourselves with the general list of products that I do sell and the suppliers and don’t forget to check back occasionally for the Featured page updates. It won’t replace my emails – those get copied to the work Facebook page anyway, if you ever want to look something up in hindsight. Eg someone recently asked me what the name was that I had called my new hip! I had forgotten so looked up the Facebook page back to April when I was back at work and there it was – Nigel. HA. Works! Angus beef has arrived. Fare Game venison here. Havoc FR Pork stocked up. Get that slow cooker out! Talking of slow cookers, since when I mentioned I was doing slow cooked pulled pork on the Windsor Business Day in October, heaps of people have rung or emailed to find out the date so they can be into the nosh we are serving that day! Oct 19th Saturday. And yes, will be serving pork in ciabatta buns with either home cooked apple sauce or pinot noir jelly plus Havoc sausages and bacon in buns with a variety of chutneys etc that you can choose. Got to admit, it makes even me salivate to think of that! YUM! Diarise it. Have a good weekend – don’t forget it’s bread day today and am chockered up. OH, and have another 2 wheels of the Whitestone Lindis Pass brie here – once it is cut, gotta vac pack or it would all ooze out! No, not in the supermarkets – too oozy and comes in a wheel. Stewart Island Salmon’s BB was last week so if half price. Nothing wrong with it – grab a bargain or five!
