ZSL TRANSFER MARKET GOES ACTIVE The months of December when the Zambian Transfer window opens are the least active in Zambia as most clubs go on break to enjoy the holidays. As we enter the new year the Market has become active and a lot of interesting transfers will take place. The Demoted sides of Kabwe Warriors and Roan United are set to lose more key players as several ZSL clubs are eyeing their players. Already there have been approaches for Roan Uniteds acrobatic Keeper. Evans Mwewa and there is also interest on Roan United striker Arthur Kaseloki from a number of clubs. Both Warriors and Roan United are determined to hold on to their players and will even increased conditions such as allowances and Salaries at the clubs so that they bouceback quickly. It remains to be seen whether this strategy will work. There is also a lot of interest in foreign players as players from Togo, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya and Cameroun. One club official noted Yes we want to bring a number of foreign players, currently we are eyeing some Ivorians, we were impressed with Jean-Paul Semahos ( Napsa Stars player) first season and we want a similar quality, we are currently eyeing two who came with Herve Renard when Ivory Coast played Zambia. Another club official said We want to get the best local and foreign talent, for us we are one of the smaller clubs and we may not get a foreign player this transfer window, but we are eyeing one youngster who has really impressed us. Names that have been mentioned are the likes of Christian Alex Agbangi who is Ivorian Clubs AFAD DJEKANOU,S most promising rightback with speed and telling crosses, another AFAD player being looked at is attacking midfielder Sanga Topio Coulibaly who is rated as one of the Ivorian Leagues top midfielders. AFAD is one of Ivory Coasts Top Academy teams and sells almost all of its entire team every season, in the 2013-2014 season AFAD sold 12 of its first team players. One player from Sewe Sport is also being tracked by a ZSL side. It shaping upto be an interesting transfer window as several ZSL teams are looking to consolidate and improve on their squads with both locals and foreigners.
