Zechariah asked the angel, how can I be sure of this? I am an old man and my wife is well on in years. The Angel answered I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, I have been sent to speak to you and to tell you this good news. And now you will be silent and not be able to speak until the day this happens, because you did not believe my words, which will come true at their proper time. Luke 1:18-20 As I read this I chuckled. Basically, Zechariah is telling the Angel (God) how can He be sure what he says will happen. So, lets just say His Faith seemed a little weak there. In the last sentence which will come true at their proper time sums it up. When God says so, not Me! In my life I battle over letting God control things. Like Zech, I sometimes fail to believe God can do more/better than I. Only when I truly surrender and have total Faith in His path and outcome for my life, do I find Peace, Serenity & Blessings in abundance. I assure you, God will convince me one way or another of His Love and goodness for my life.
