Zvemumagitare part6 NDEGE HAIDYIWE A few years ago this artist came to me excited about his forthcoming overseas tour which he wanted to go with me,i promised i would go only on condition that we have a clear agreement concerning the following 4 areas before we leave 1:My remuneration(payment)figure 2:The paediums(daily tour pocket money)its normally $20 per day 3:The tour duration&the day we will return back home 4:Accomodation He promised to speak to the promoters&give me feedback the next day,in the meantime he asked to collect my passport&sort out visas,but i assured him if im not happy with the information i will not go anywhere. After a week i asked him for the feedback from the promoters,he still didnt have my answers,i wondered why he was busy running around organising visas without such important info,what if they are bogus promoters? A few days before the tour he still didnt have the information,i then asked him to bring back my passport&look for another guitarist.He was disappointed bcoz he expected me to jump as soon as i heard that its an overseas tour irikukwirwa ndege just like what the marjority of musicians do. The other time i turned down a tour offer after calculating&finding out that the money they would pay me was way below the ammount i would earn here at home pasina kwandaenda Since i was fired from the Black Spirits 2007 i have turned down 5 overseas tours not becoz ndavakudada,,or because ive toured the world before sterek with Tuku&Chiwoniso,but it was because all of the artists that approached me didnt have clear information of the above details,they were just happy to go on tour.The majority of musicians are just thrilled to go on an overseas tour without any form of agreement&most of them return empty handed becoz they just go without agreeing on figures,or they just sign a bad contract without analysing the contract,some artists&promoters take advantage of the fact that a lot of musicians overate foreign tours,they have an illusion yekunge as if unoti uchisvika pa airport unobva wapihwa bag remari,as a result a lot of musicians ingori mbiri yekunzi vaenda kwakati bcoz they return empty handed Even before i became part of Tukus band i had turned down 2overseas tours for the same reasons,one was by an artist who has long Asian tours once every year,he is well known amongst all musicians for taking musicians on his tours,under pay them&ill treats them,even to the extend of physically abusing them,but everytime he wants to go on tour the moment musicians hear that its an overseas tour they jump to say yes So ma artists,garai maziva kuti ndege haidyiwe,b4 u agree to go on that overseas tour make sure you have an agreement that you are satisfied with first,otherwise munoperekedza munhu mumwechete kunoita mari imi modzoka musina chinhu Ngwarirai kunonoitwa ya Rich man&Lazaraus yemu bible modzoka nemafufu!
