a 10% voter turnout is just WRONG. Yes there were extenuating circumstances in the area caused by the pipeline blowout, but surely sometime during the day a person could have gotten out to vote? We have a duty to know what our politicians are doing and to care about who it is who is making the policies for our communities and country. We have to know that those policies and laws are in furtherance of human dignity and the common good. By not voting we are not fighting for the country Canada should be. We are not caring for a neighbour as we should.
