Its an ironic shame, here is someone who had it all, the quadruple Fs: Family, Friends, Fame & Fortune, the ironic part is if you have demons working you over, at some point theyll break you, break your soul, break your mind, even a genius mind... As I went through looking for these clips, there are some other older articles on all the great work hes done, for others, that many people didnt know.. When Christopher Reeves was gambling on experimental surgery which had a 50/50 chance of healing, or killing him, Robin Williams showed up in his room, in scrubs, using a thick russian accent, to give Chris a rectal exam.. Reeves laughed for the 1st time since his career-killing injury.. He had released Chriss inner demons for good! He always volunteered to entertain our soldiers in Iraq, Afghanistan & Pakistan without compensation, many times, he also went out into the Sunni [surviving] population to give them laughs & lighten their mental burdens... He did it out of love... He met a talented young lady, who wanted to go to Julliard [his alma mater], upon seeing her plight, he paid for the full scholarship out of his own pocket, when he approached the admissions office to accept her, they didnt even question whether or not she had what it takes, the reason? ...if she had impressed Robin, that was good enough for them! The list goes on & on, Farm-Aid, Cancer groups [in all forms], Diabetes, Dementia, Parkinsons, Alzheimers, and many more! If youve ever watched Patch Adams, well - HE REALLY CARED ABOUT PEOPLE! In a way, it WAS painful to watch some of those clips, he was really telling us about both his internal & external demons, in his own brilliant way, he was silently acknowledging that they could have his soul any time they chose... I love you, Robin, you have given me, and the rest of this World your vision, your clarity, and your humanity, that act is just impossible to follow, Stay at peace, my friend!
