a volunteer writes: Blue is a 5 year old male blue cane corso mix. He came into the shelter as an owner surrender but they said they only had him for two weeks. Blue needs our help to find a home with a lot of TLC. Tonight is our chance to advocate and share Blue so we might find him a foster or adopter before it is to late. A volunteer writes: Blue, a full fledged Cane Corso gentleman came to us after being kept for two weeks by a good Samaritan together with his American Bulldog companion, Spot. The finder unfortunately commented very little about the two dogs, leaving with us an identical profile...What we can see for our own eyes is that both friends are in poor physical shape and need a LOT of TLC. Blue is gorgeous although on the thin side. His coat is almost intact, very silky to the touch and silvery blue. Blue is not feeling that well and reluctant to come out of his den. With some coaxing, he does eventually and we go for a short walk. Blue pulls on the leash. He eliminates as soon as we leave the building. He does not pay much attention to other dogs. He is quite aloof with me, handshy and paces in the pen we are in for bonding time. Blue does not even want tasty treats. I can only imagine how gorgeous and strong he must have been in his prime. I am looking forward to seeing Blue again, understand him better , maybe warm up his heart a bit. What Blue needs is a good home , a caring master who will give basic care, good food and mostly, love that he might never have known.
