aba magandang balita ito sa mga walang trabaho..pagkakataon na... MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine National Police (PNP) will hire 50,000 civilian employees starting this year to replace uniformed personnel performing administrative duties, Eastern Samar Rep. Ben Evardone said yesterday. Evardone, vice chairman of the House appropriations committee, said he learned of the recruitment plan from Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas, whose department has supervision and control over the PNP. “Some 15,000 will be hired this year and 15,000 next year. The remaining 20,000 will be recruited in the succeeding years,” he said. He said the PNP personnel who would be freed of administrative duties would be given field assignments like investigating crime. “The objective is to have more police visibility, more policemen in the streets doing peacekeeping, for which they were trained. They should not be doing clerical jobs. This is one of the reforms being instituted by Secretary Roxas,” he said. The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) will have a budgetary increase of P8.4 billion, from P91.164 billion this year to P99.595 billion in 2014. The bulk of that amount will be for the PNP, whose outlay will jump from P67.404 billion to P71.946 billion. philstar/nation/2013/08/07/1059461/pnp-hire-50000-civilian-personnel-lawmaker
