age related tolerance or has the standard of gaming dropped?? . let me explain so im not sure if im alone here but these days I fall out of immersion very easily and quickly in fact i rarely complete games at all due to limited gaming time my standards are high i cant settle for avarage games or good it has to be something very decent or at least it seems that way . things like repetitive set pieces, level design ..poor writing or boring gameplay stand out to me so much now as were in the younger days i might have not picked up on it ..im not sure if its because its all been seen before or if its just games are well SHIT these days at least for the moment . in order to experience a brilliant game i have to go back often to ps2 or last gen ..legecy of kain games ..metal gear solid 1/3...mass effect 1/2.....kotor....fallout....bioshock....etc these games were outstanding and if you liked them or not isnt the point they all had crazy amount of effort put into there production with every attention to detail ironed out ....that amount of effort only seems to exist within few developers now........is the future of gaming playing recycled rubbish over and over agein or will the standards improve...or is this just me nt having as much patience and gaing is the same it has allways been ?? lol rant over
