...and we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have have been called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). The scripture does not say that God may work things out for us, ALL THINGS, EVERYTHING. THINGS WE DO NOT UNDERSTAND. THINGS WE FIND DIFFICULT TO ACCEPT. THINGS WE DONT WANT TO ACCEPT. THINGS WE ARE NOT SURE ABOUT. We must trust God to see us through the tough times, the times we dont particularly care for. We have no difficulty trusting God when things are going the way we want...BUT when God says change horses mid stream, we scoff!!! Many are the plans of man to the chagrin of God, for we all arrive on scene (late) with our plans in hand ready to tell God how to proceed. When God tells us to change horses mid stream the other side still waits. God just wanted us to arrive on a different horse!!! Noted cellist David Popper (1843-1913) arrived at the Prague music conservatory at the tender age of twelve only to be told that there were too many violin players there. Popper not only CHANGED to the cello, he became a prolific composer of pieces for his instrument!!! Additionally, Popper traveled Europe as a leading celloist and was named musician for the court of a prince in 1864. Not bad for a violin player- I do not know of the mans beliefs, but I do know that he believed in SOMEONE or SOMETHING. Oft times we look to God to smooth out all the bumpy roads of life for us, we pray so EVERYTHING SHOULD be alright everyday in every way -NOT!!! We are strengthened by overcoming and successfully handling the vicissitudes of life. The only way we can get closer to God, know Him better in the pardon of our sins and the Victory of Christ is to live life trusting God the Father!!! If we who are sinful know how to give good gifts to our children (Luke 11:13), then surely God can straighten out the crooked way, bring mountains low and calm the storms. In other words: GOD HAS GOT IT (EVERYTHING) UNDER CONTROL!!! DO YOU??? Think about it~THE ESSENTIAL CHRIST
