anon I almost killed a man last night. I am livid and probably still in a degree of shock as I am so upset about it, but he probably does not know how lucky he is. We were driving down the Freeway at night, after rain, and a man just walked out from a ute at the side of the road and stood in the middle of the road, facing oncoming traffic. I did not even have time to hit the horn. Just gripped the steering wheel, hit the brakes and waited for traffic behind to hit my family. If I had been driving our 4WD, or had skidded in the wet, I could not have stopped in that distance and would have ploughed right through him, becoming a killer. he did not even acknowledge that we had stopped, barely in front of him. Just turned and walked back to his ute. Seemed he was having a massive fight with a passenger in his vehicle. we reported to the police, as who knows if he was going to go and wait for another car not to manage to stop and it seems vehicle was still there when they arrived later. What also makes me so furious is that I would probably have ended up in a cell at some stage, and I put my familys lives at risk so that I did not kill him, but police centre pretty much said there would be no action taken against him. Be careful of the idiots out there.
