at one time our Government cared about our environment as much as we (I) do.. cared about the lands & resources ... at one time it was important for them to look at restoring the habitat for our salmon ... to enhance the amount of fish bearing rivers & streams we have ... to restore the clam beds & oysters .. the relocation of elk in our territory .. which now graze in the Sarita Valley.. not to mention all other living things that are important to the ecosystem .. the food chain .. Now its about money .. promising jobs ... no impacts or disturbances within our lands ... they say LNG is going to benefit us as Huu ay aht ... but the benefit is not really for us .. if they can put aside the greed & open there eyesthey might think otherwise ..if not all weve invested in Forestry .. Fisheries .. Treaty .. Court cases was really for nothing ... by doing this we are giving up all we have stood for .. & thats not what our ancestors have fought all there lives for .. what they have accomplished for hundreds of years .. since time immemorial they have managed & sustained our lands & resourcesfor us & we need to do the same for our next generations ..
