bhopal - prayer for rain : opportunity wasted. barring layered characters and brilliant performances of martin sheen and kal pen, its labored effort that will leave you bored. some of the scenes of tragic disaster are haunting, but poor direction and script neither able to explain the technical aspects to simple viewers nor focused on economic-political nexus aftermath the calamity. slum life captured well, but whole track of it is utterly predictable. ending is abrupt and foreign journalists track is uninspiring. looks like film is made to portray ( and defend ) andersons character instead of evil event. once again, poor bhopal victims denied justice by filmmaker.
