captain phillips was such a great movie. I mean I honestly wouldnt know this was barkhad abdi first role. I remember seeing the I am the captain now scene and got chills, the whole team was great. By the end, while you do feel a sense of relief it isnt without bitterness. I like that we feel for these guys. the director didnt shove all the political issues that were involved but through action and their dialogue between Muse and Cap. phillips you understood where they were coming from. I really find this whole film terrifying in every way, especially when you see contrast between Somalia pirates compare to us military. Tom Hanks was amazing as always.
