dont know why the brother posted this and bashed the sheikh, if anybody has got a issue with sheikh akram, he holds classes all the time and one thing that makes him different from other scholars today is that he lets you think, he allows you to question him and he is up for tolerance. I never heard of him nor did I really have any interest in listening to him, when I went to a few of his classes I can put my hands down and say WAllahi his classes are the most beneficial classes I have ever been to I spent close to £100 with a famous institute based in london by a famous shaykh who everybody always quotes and says he said this he said that (the sheikh), who apparently is upon haqq because he studied in Saudi. In my 4 lessons I spent learning with him, all of them he was reading his whatsapp messages and made us read the book by ourselves, towards the end we had 30 minutes question time but this was basically fiqh, nothing related to our topic. I spent 1 hour with sh akram nadwi and subhanAllah I learnt more in that hour that I did in the 4 weeks with that other teacher. anyway the brother on the comments replies fantastically The shaikh is actually athari in aqeedah, he believes however such discussions are futile for the masses to get into and rather the approach of emaan, islam, Ihsan is what is important as opposed to aqeedah, madhab, tasawwuf as what it seems to have become nowadays. His point of aqeedah not being important to attain jaanah is rather that emaan and Amal is what Quran and Sunnah commands and what we will be questioned about. I dont actually see how one can disagree with his point. Sadly too many practising folk went down the route of knowing minuscule details to do with aqeedah but it bearing no impact upon his emaan, salaah, ibaadah in general. Focussing all that time on such issues which we wont be questioned about but cant read arabic properly or pronounce the Quran correctly is something Ive seen far too often. Wallahu Ahlam
