every five years guitar manufacturers release a model which looks and sounds good and is in the right price bracket, so everyone buys it, recently its been the jaguar but ten years ago it was the black telecustom, fed up of playing on the same bill as five other guitarists with the same guitar i spent a while trying to knock as much paint off it as possible, last christmas after several over enthusiastic bouts of stage bashing i realised i was in danger of loosing pickups and the neck was doing funky stuff, i decided to try a more softly softly approach, ive just spent to hours with a gold letraset i found in utility, thinking that would look hot, as it turns out it does not, anyone remember the paisley richie sambora strat, you get the picture
