from Peter Dauphinee Today on Highway 11 Today was an exhilarating day on highway 11. This is SWNs last try I believe, the supervisor we talked to said as much. I think SWN expected a more robust police response, and I think the police were hoping for a less robust citizen response. It was a very odd and unexpected twist, but things were pretty cordial all around although we again kept 5 thumper trucks idling all day. The people are more assertive toward the RCMP because we know how badly we have been tricked before. I think the big realization for the RCMP yesterday and today is that they have completely lost the trust and confidence of the people. The RCMP were unable to broker a deal for SWN to leave the scene today because no one trusts the RCMP will behave the same tomorrow as they were today. Tomorrow will be a big test, as both sides left today saying they will continue tomorrow. The police have to decide if they are going to double cross us again as they did at Rexton. Anyone that can go tomorrow should do so as this could(and should) be the end for SWN. I should also add that hanging over the entire day was the fact that Elsipogtog was in Court today seeking an injunction to stop SWN. It seems there was no decision on that today but it may come tomorrow.
