goo.gl/S0GfJv 13 DAYS SAFARI IN KENYA “KARIBU KENYA” MARA-KISII-KAKAMEGA-BOGORIA-NAKURU-NAIVASHA-ABERDARES-SAMBURU Day 1.JKIA – NAIROBI Arrive at JKIA (the biggest in East Africa) in Nairobi where you will get a warm reception with flower garlands from East Africa Exotic Safaris Airport representative. Proceed to a city hotel for a dinner prepared for you in a special African way overnight at Sarova Panafric (B) (B). Day 2 NAIROBI – MARA You will be picked from your residence in Nairobi at 8.00am in the morning by our tour van and drive through Westland’s to the Rift Valley point where you will have a stopover, From there you will proceed to the world renowned Maasai Mara Game Reserve. This game reserve is considered by many to be the “jewel and highlight of any safari”. This is mainly because of its abundance of game, and the fact that it supports one of Africa’s highest concentrations of predators. You will arrive in time for lunch at the lodge. Early afternoon will be spent at leisure in the lodge’s swimming pool or having a walk around the lodge, to be followed by game viewing drive later in the evening. Animals expected to be seen here include lion, hyena, cheetah, elephant and giraffes among others. Dinner, entertainment and overnight at Mara Serena (B) (L) (D). Day 3.MARA After a hefty buffet breakfast in the Camp you will embark on a game viewing drive in search for animals not seen the previous day. You will drive to the famous Mara River in search of hippos and crocodiles; here you will also see the crossing point for wildebeests when migrating from the neighboring Serengeti plains. Enroute you will also see the Kenya-Tanzania border that marks one side of the Mara Triangle. You will return to the lodge for lunch, after which a visit to Maasai Village will enlighten you on the culture and lifestyle of the Maasai people who, like their northern cousins – the Samburu – have adopted to live harmoniously with the wildlife. You will proceed on a game drive probably in search of animals not seen so far. Dinner, entertainment and overnight will be directly as above (B) (L) (D). Day4. MARA-KISII Kisii Pre-breakfast game viewing in Maasai Mara Game Reserve. After breakfast drive out of the Park through Kilgoris town with picnic lunch to Kisii town. We visit the Tabaka Soapstone mining quarries and also talk to the carvers as we watch them make sculptures from the soapstone. In the evening we proceed to our Hotel in Kisii Town for dinner and overnight stay at Mash Park Hotel. Day5. KISII-KAKAMEGA Kakamega Forest We visit Keumbu area to view pineapple and banana plantations, the lifeblood of the local community. We drive further past the Ahero falconry to Kisumu town for lunch. We proceed to Kakamega where we visit the Crying Stone, and listen to the folklore attach to this weeping edifice. Dinner and overnight at the Rondo Retreat Center. Day6. KAKAMEGA Forest A full day is spent exploring the attractions of Kakamega forest and local villages. Kakamega forest is famous for its rare species of b otanical plants including orchids, butterflies and birds. An early morning talk with the keepers of the forest give visitors an insight o n what is being done to preserve this forest; which is one of the only traces remaining of a tropical rain forest that once spread across the equator from the Atlantic Ocean to the shores of the Indian Ocean. Dinner and overnight at Rondo Retreat Center. Day7. KAKAMEGA-BOGORIA After breakfast drive through Lake Baringo .Lunch at L.Bogoria spa resort. After lunch drive to the Lake Bogoria (scene of hot water springs that is a small reflection of the activity taking place below the earth’s crust that resulted in the formation of the spectacular Rift) to your hotel for overnight at Lake Bogoria Spa resort. Day8. L.BOGORIA-LAKE.NAKURU It’s always sad to let go and to say good-bye. This day after your breakfast you will bid L. Bogoria and its wonderful shores and birds “Kwaheri” and We proceed to Lake Nakuru National park famous for its flamingos and not forgetting other wildlife like Black and White Rhino, Leopards, Rothschild’s Giraffe and many more. You will have your meal and overnight at Sarova Lion Hills Or Lake Nakuru Lodge. (B) (L) (D). Day 9.LAKE NAKURU – L. NAIVASHA After breakfast depart for for Lake Naivasha arriving at around noon drive to hells gate National Park well known home for lammergeyers.its also the best in hiking, rock climbing and bird watching. Lunch at Lake Naivasha Resort. Rest of the day at leisure (optional: boat ride). Dinner and overnight at Crater Lake lodge. Day10. LAKE NAIVASHA-ABERDARE Drive to Nyeri and to Aberdare. Ark and Tree Tops visitors’ lunch at Aberdare Country Club & Outspan Hotel respectively then transfer to Tree Hotel Dinner and overnight at Treetops or Outspan (L) (D). Day11 . ABERDARE-SAMBURU You will be woken up at around 0600hrs to embark on an early morning game drive and then return to the lodge for breakfast. After your hefty breakfast you will load you luggage into the vans bid Nakuru “Kwaheri” good bye and drive north to the Semi-Arid Samburu/Shaba/Buffalo Springs Game Reserves. The topography shows a dramatic change becoming warmer and arid as you approach Isiolo on to Archer’s post. The reserve has species rarely found anywhere else in Kenya including Gravy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx,Reticulated Girraffe and Generuk.Birds found here are countless and amazing.You will have a game drive enroute to the lodge. Lunch at the Lodge. After lunch, early afternoon will be at leisure. You will later embark on a game drive which will bring forth the rare animals found in this game reserve in addition to elephants, buffalos, lions among others. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge. Day12. SAMBURU This day after breakfast you will embark on a game viewing drive in the park. This will give the opportunity to visit the Samburu Villages or take up a nature walk with the hotel naturalist. You will return to the lodge for lunch. Early afternoon at leisure enjoying in the swimming pool or having the great views of Ewaso Nyiro River. At around 1600 hrs you will embark on another game viewing through the park and return to the lodge at around 1830hrs for dinner, entertainment and overnight at the lodge. Day13. SAMBURU-NAIROBI You will be woken up at around 6.00am to embark on an early morning game drive and then return to the lodge for breakfast. This is the best time to have game drives since the animals both nocturnal and diurnal are active before the sun sends them off under the shades. After your hefty breakfast you will load you luggage into the vans bid Samburu “Kwaheri” good bye and proceed Nairobi to arrive in the late afternoon. In the evening have your farewell dinner party at the famous Carnivore Restaurant. (B) (L) (B). The above prices are based on a minimum of 2 persons.
