great day out to sea with Chris Roberts on the Anglo dawn from Salcombe, with club members, (hokkia) Andrew Braunton , Tom, Adrain, Dave , Mike, Graham and myself Paul. Got straight into fish out on the reefs with us catching pollacks, codling, pouting, lance on sidewinders, plastics , lures and slow blatts .At 8.30am I hooked into the biggest bass of my life using my Anglers Republic Palms UK & Ireland metal witch 633sf rod, avet 5.3sx reel, 18lb powerpro braid and a 150gm slow blatt R jig, thats 18 fish now on the blatts, bass weighed in 10lb 8oz. other good catches included a nice john dory to Andrew braunton on a sidewinder, gurnard, wrasse, ling, whiting, and mackerel, 11 species all together. All in all good day ( codling could have done with being a bit bigger, but next years reef codling fishing should be brilliant) see you at the next meeting Paul
