h 70 Presidents invited by UHURU/ RUTO for the Golden Jubilee fete – OBAMA and PUTIN among the guests. 4 hours ago Monday October 28, 2013 - Russia President, Vladmir Putin and US President, Barrack Obama, are among seventy Heads of State who have been invited to attend the Kenya at 50 celebrations scheduled for December. According to our credible sources, invitation letters have been sent to White House and the Kremlin and it is a matter of time before the Kenyan government receives responses from Obama and Putin. What is clear is that the organizing committee is faced with what some of its members describe as a logistical nightmare since over 50 Heads of States have confirmed to attend. This is the first time Kenya will be hosting such a huge number of presidents at the same time. The last time Kenya experienced something close to this was during President Moi’s time, when Kenya hosted the Organization of African unity summit. Most of the activities to mark the country’s Jubilee are scheduled to be held on December 11 with the main celebration being held on Jamhuri Day, December 12.
