here is how i got ready for the WK soccer game Holland-Brasil ... Made Bami Goreng with Shrimp and 2 different marinated Satehs : Sateh Babi (pork) and Sateh Ajam (chcken) both marinated in the fridge for a couple of days before skewering and grilling.. the Sateh Babi in my typical Ketjap Manis (sweet soy) based with red wine, onions, Garlic, various Nasi spices (Conimex Nasi Spices) marinade the Sateh Ajam in a Ketjap Acin (salty soy sauce) with a lot of spicy Curry powder, Lemon juice, Cilantro, Lemon grass powder based sauce. Got out the home made Atjar (Recipe from Nicole Holdens Dutch table site, using shredded chines cabbage, and the vinegar/sugar adjusted to our taste,, this stuff keeps very well in the fridge..) Made my famous peanut sauce for the Sateh. I fried some fresh Krupuk Oedang (shrimp crackers), made some Serundeng (mix of roasted peanuts and sweet ground-up dry shredded coconut). Griled the Sathes and put some home made Sambal Badjak ( A hot/sweet ground up mix of sauteed in Sesame oil: ground up red pepper, shrimp paste, chopped onions) . Kejap Manis sauce on the table and we were in Business!
