hey everyone. thnks so much for the prayers and phone calls. for those of you wondering what happened here it is . our youngest son leo was attacked by a dog. the dog belongs to freind of oursand she has already had the dog put down. leo has a large bite on his face and a 3 to 4 inch wound in his arm. His face was able to be stitched up at vandy childrens by a specialist.We do not know exactly how much tissue damage was done it is a wait and see game. we must see how much of the facial tissue dies to determine the next course of action is. his arm is consdered to be a dirty wound so it was only tacked shut in certain spots so infection and debri can come out on its own. He was able to come home after a round of iv antibiotics. we are awaiting the results of the rabies tests, which may take a couple days. His pediatrician is keeping a close eye on him for infection, and the specialist who stitched his face in the er is going to take them out next tuesday. then the doctor will be able to access the damage a little better. He did wake o this morning pretty swollen and sore but in good spirits especially after a whole plate of pancakes from mc donalds. He is very good spirits.Thanks again for all the prayers and phone calls. i will try to do updates to keep everyone posted.
