i am halfway through the semester. and i have managed in 2.5 months to teach myself how to be a single mama, ive navigated the social services system, ive apprenticed more deeply to my spiritual practice of asking for help, ive managed the treacherous waters of the childcare system, i have paid my rent on time, ive made enormous breakthroughs in therapy that are collapsing 30 plus years of stored childhood trauma, ive devised a super efficient and not too frantic daily routine, i have a healthy and happy baby girl who i fully show up for with my entire heart and soul, and i am a straight A student. there is nothing, and i mean absolutely nothing, that has ever compared to this life, right now, for stapling me to the spot, and allowing me to finally begin to embody the truth of life as i have glimpsed it. simple, one moment at a time, beyond concepts, just doing it. one step at a time. its a damn fine thing.
