i am utterly shocked about the viral stoning of my colleague BETOKO. feel like thrown back into the dark age. without taking betokos (neither i am his friend, nor do i know what really happened) or anybodies side or position here, i simply condemn the attitude of people, especially of some well known media and artists, to throw stones at somebody they dont know, regarding a case they dont know and allegedly know only one side of, whithout really knowing how much truth is in the exposition of this one side. didnt you learn some fundamental rules in life and coexistence? some of the most important achievements of humanity and society have earned in the past centuries, is to always hear both sides of a story before you make up your mind and convict and that it is not to the public to convict and execute but to institutions and authorities whos job it is. (i hope) we all condemn domestic violence and violence against women, but i hope as well that we also know the difference between expressing our opinion about something in private or in public. words have power, especially when they come from powerful people. so, invoking to condemn a person publicly and to expose an incident (like betokos) with the tonality i am reading all over the internet in the moment, is a very serious case. there are enough lunatics ad agressive people out there, that could feel inspired of act violently now. there is only a thin line between vial and physical lynching. who are you to invoke in public to destroy somebodies career and life? think twice. you are free to think about this what you want or to express it in your inner circle but anything else shouldnt be your business!
