i use my ARAS experience to encourage kids and let them no i came from the bottom..the bottom of a bottle, glass pipe, bong, gram, the bottom of a coke bag speed bag the bottom of the heap......i stepped off the track and got caught up owing drug dealers, pawn shops, banks, loan sharks been there done that.....but then music saved me...music played a song i liked...music took me around Aotearoa and also Internationally ...so then i look back at why i do this not to win fame or fans or get rich....i made those mistakes so other kids dont have too....and today my class actually got it my new students actually understood what i meant...because when i left them...they smiled and each 1 of them hugged me and said "cant wait to see you again Thursday matua Marcus" yea nah that korero of let them learn from there own mistakes !!!! yea u giving up on them...i dont like that....if you have made the mistake before...then help our kids not make the same 1.....thats what ARAS means for me from the bottom to part of a great whanau and great movement and standing tall...our kids love it they tell me every session i teach no matter where i am speaking Sensitive To A Smile is there gold.....so we give back....we make change...we cover pot holes so they dont make our mistakes......this is no joke,no part timers, its the future....its the NOW and we need to move faster.....lets go
