its a story of a wretched people, the Tuareg and Arabs of Azawad -- the south-western part of Sahara, which turned into a colony of Mali, after the so-called decolonization of the Saharan region; and now converted into the international protectorate, while the children of the soil are forced to live a life of refugees in the neighboring Niger. Its a story of neo-imperialism (neo-colonialism); its an instance of how the center-peripheral symbiosis works in the neo-imperialist era. It tells us about the high propensity of imperialism (both classical and contemporary) to work hand in glove even with forces like Al-Qaeda, at the expense of humanity.
