job vacancy: Interactive Broadcast Specialist Job Description: • Our ideal candidate would have experience developing applications from the ground up and be able to troubleshoot various hardware and software issues • Responsibility includes working with other departments within the Media Prima family and outside vendors to develop custom control software for the VizRT graphics system. • Ensuring operations & execution of all on air graphics, interactive programs & 3rd party services without errors. • Working with IT/Broadcast Engineering to make sure all custom software & hardware are running efficiently & smoothly Job Requirements: • Knowledge of computer software, hardware, and networks • Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem solving skills • Prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines • Basic programming experience, and/or web knowledge is required • Ability to control expectations within live television’s unmovable deadlines • Ability to work under pressure, and deliver projects on time is critical • Troubleshoot, maintain, and build upon existing software • Having a diploma or degree in broadcast or IT would be beneficial Personal Characteristics: • Team player with attention to detail and strong communication skills • Must manage time efficiently and have the ability to juggle multiple tasks/projects/situations at one time • Must be highly organized • Ability to solve problems • Must be highly motivated • Must be able to work long hours and weekends when needed. • Must be able to work shifts & public holidays when needed.
