#lasen In case you missed it Breitbart reports: Rep. Bill Cassidy (R-LA), whos running for U.S. Senate in Louisiana against Democrat incumbent Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA) and Tea Party-backed Col. Rob Maness, has waffled on whether hell support the Presidents proposed $3.7 billion in new spending on the immigration crisis. Maness has, like Carr has against Alexander, honed in against Cassidys failure to take a hardline against amnesty (breitbart/Big-Government/2014/07/11/Billionaires-Call-For-Amnesty-As-Obama-Plans-To-Legalize-Millions-Of-Illegal-Aliens-With-Executive-Power). Cassidys contortions are based on his official statement as a Congressman (cassidy.house.gov/media-center/press-releases/cassidy-opposes-obama-s-37-billion-request-for-immigration-crisis) a day after his controversial interview with Louisiana radio personality, Denny Schaffer (wrno/media/podcast-denny-schaffer-morning_rush/congressman-bill-cassidy-71014-25008542/). Though the Times-Picayune reports otherwise in their headline (nola/politics/index.ssf/2014/07/rep_bill_cassidy_says_hed_vote.html), Cassidy never says that he will oppose President Obamas $3.7 billion in borrowed money for illegal immigrants crossing the border. In his radio interview, Cassidy also said that he wanted to give President Obama a chance to make the case for Congress to approve the massive spending bill. His latest statement does little to refute that initial position. Like Sen. Landrieu, Cassidy is liberal on immigration and both are waiting for the President to make the next move.
