Other than disgustingly stroking this unapologetic proponent of colonization and dominations ego (plus total denial of Palestinian sovereignty and national self-determination); Maher also fails to realize that what he views as Israels quick wars, are really just periodic offensives in their own perpetual state of being at war! And to those who say Israel is merely defending themselves against hostile enemies surrounding them and seeking their destruction, why then do the Palestinian people have no right to defend their own national security against repeated Israeli settler aggression for decades? Why do Netanyahu and unapologetic Zionists persist in claiming Palestine never was a nation merely because they were subjected to Ottoman imperial rule, not because of a lack of national identity and a desire to be sovereign (just as India wanted sovereignty while under British rule, and prior to had tribal/kingdom fragmentation of their nation, which does not mean their national aspirations are any less real and important as anyone elses)! Does the fact Germany was divided up with Prussia, Bavaria, and other provincial kingdoms before the latter part of the 19th century mean Germany isnt really a nation either? Ridiculous, and to think how many believe such an absurd fallacy, shows just how effective the anti-Palestinian propaganda has been! There is no inherent hatred of Jews on behalf of Palestinians, there was co-existence and mutual respect prior to the aims of statehood Zionism became widely known in the early 20th century. Displaced persons (escaping the horrors of Nazi Fascism) would have been more welcome in Palestine than the U.S. (where Zionist leadership applied tremendous pressure on President Truman to not allow significant U.S. absorption of displaced Jewish refugees from Europe, so that Palestine could be amply flooded, as to achieve the necessary demographics to allow for a takeover, NOT a mutually beneficial democracy with equal rights for all people)! However, Palestinians werent stupid and realized Zionist immigration was different than immigration for humanitarian reasons. The point is theres nothing inherent about Judaism thats behind Palestinian resistance to Zionist colonization. Judaism is one of the worlds great faiths, one that teaches peace and contributed immensely to the foundational structures of modern law and society; whereas political Zionism was (and still is) an atheistic perversion of the great Jewish faith! Most Jews and all people werent aware of the highly secretive nefarious motives of Zionist leadership (saying totally different things in private than in public), and would be shocked to learn that colonizing Palestine for nationhood was so important to the Theodore Herzls and David Ben-Gurions of the world, that they were willing and did allow Jewish refugees/displaced persons fleeing Nazism to suffer needlessly by only seeking homes for them all in tiny Palestine, a place far less able to absorb millions of refugees than the U.S., Canada, and a host of other nations (who could have helped tremendously in alleviating the suffering of European Jews in displaced persons camps much sooner than they received it, if not for the games being played behind the scenes where Zionist leaders insisted on Palestine only for DPs)! It could have been a group of green/purple people who planned and then were able to succeed in accomplishing their dispossession, their would be resistance and for some hatred of the green/purple people. The same resistance would be evident on steroids in say Texas, if a group of green/purple people espousing their own brand of Zionism with Texas as their Zion made their intentions to conquer by way of dispossession the non-indigenous natives (settling Texas in the 19th century gives whites far less claim over Texas than Palestinians for Jerusalem or Haifa for example). #BDS #EndTheIsraeliOccupation #FreePalestine
