You have all taken the Hippocratic oath but You have failed Alec abysmally in your duty of care to give Alec the best of care, a correct diagnosis, treatment, and formulate a plan for his future You have failed his parents in your duty of care by not informing them of results, treatment with the honesty that we come to expect from medical professionals, and failing to formulate a plan as promised to assist them with Alecs recovery for a better future. You failed in your duty of care to me, and Alecs extended family. The formulated plan was to be a guide for us all so Alec can walk the path of life with dignity, improved health and love. You have failed all the future children their parents and families, who will pass through this system, expecting as we did, the best possible treatment from medical professionals, but they will be stonewalled and have untruths told to them as it benefits the hospital. To whom do these families turn when they are in desperate need? Who is there to wipe their tears and mend their hearts after you discharge them without a diagnosis, medications or formulated plan? You have failed yourselves and your professions due to failure in communications, failure for expressing untruths, failure for broken promises, failure to provide Alecs doctor with records, failure to provide information to parents after procedures, failure to perform full medical procedures as scheduled, failure to inform on Alecs extensive injuries while inpatient, failure to provide full nursing care (AIN only,) failure of doctors to conduct physical examination of Alec (observe from doorway for 1-2 mins) there are many more so its shame on all of you that Alec has been inpatient 20 days without proper due care and diligence. The reason we are here now is because many doctors diagnosed Alec, who fell 10ft onto concrete head first, as having Autism, now almost 5 yrs on were told he doesnt have autism. His health has deteriorated severely over past 12 mths and now we are being told its behavioural. We dont have medical degrees but after intense loving care we have brought him back from a catatonic non verbal existence to almost a neuro typical child who suffers from extreme head pain episodes only to be told at this time by medical degree holding fraternity that its behavioural. Please explain yourselves, clearly and succinctly as we are highly intelligent caring women who listen intently and eagerly await for your explanation on how you came to this diagnosis when all required tests have not been performed and many were refused on request.
