more great finds in the basement -- another big tome of old photos unearthed -- these of my fathers paternal grandparents family. the dude with the hipster beard is my great-great-grandfather, and the old dude sitting next to him in the first picture is his father-in-law. the photo is from probably the 1880s. hes with his wife and all his kids in about 1895 (my fathers grandfather, angus, is at the top right, and actually does look a bit like my father), and the fashionable lady is his daughter in the 1910s. the other clan is williams (my fathers grandfathers elder brother--hes the mustachioed guy who looks like a banker on the left) family in about 1930. there are a ton of old photos down here that i havent seen since i was a kid.
