(my post on Oriental Trading Companys site)Your latest catalog upset and disgusted me. Under the guise of raising awareness, your company is selling crap with different colored ribbons on it. Selling everything from table cloths to flower leis to party favors in order to profit off of peoples real pain and problems is beyond distasteful. I was CERTAIN Id see that a portion of your profits would be donated to cancer research or one of the many issues these ribbons represent. But, no. You encourage your customers to, Make the Fight Fun! My daughter was supported in countless meaningful ways during her treatment without a bunch of junk that will go right into a landfill once the fun! is over. It is so sad that disease has become an industry. (Thank you, Friends, for indulging my rant.)
