my sweet friend Sherri Boozer Little posted this ... and my heart could not stop breaking and cringing as I watched this... This is why I go and do art with the teen girls at the home - some of the stories are so eeerily similiar - same beautiful innocence broken - I literally have to take a few hours to readjust after being with them because it is so sad that a soul has to endure such darkness at such early stages in their young lives. Their house mom inspires me .. for she is on the front lines and loves on them along with her sweet staff -- and its not easy. I will post another day of some needs that we have to make our next few visits really great for them and how you can help. My small group will be going there gifting them with their own scrapbooks to do art, journal and I will hopefully take pictures and print them right there on the spot for them so that they have some photographs that can go with their stories. . and these will BELONG to them.. Ive been able to provide the beginnings of a crafting center - I am praying to expand that center - and to keep teaching them how to be a life artist.. and to inspire them to create beauty from brokeness, create their own light to shine, and to see the good in each day.
