#nerdconfession I cant remember character names for shit. Most super geeks can rattle off the names of their favorite characters and the names of actors and the side kicks... not me. Comic books, novels, movies, my own writing... not a one If someone geek checks me about specific named people I sit there and just nod most of the time. I can remember the stories, and the described scene, the deep emotional meanings, potent phrases, and the motivations behind scenarios... but I couldnt tell you the names of most of the characters in my favorite stories. Unless their name is a descriptor of who or what they do, chances are good that I refer to characters by their roles and the IP they are a part of. When my friends talk about their favorite characters, unless I have story context, I am out of the loop.
