ok - thanks to my dear son, Eric Michael for challenging me in the #alsicebucketchallenge. After an #epicfail trying to video my own response and challenge, Im switching gears and doing this instead: This is to honor my dear friend Karen Lutz Potts and her hubby Fred Potts, who bravely and gracefully served for years as caregivers for Freds brother, Rusty, who passed away much too young from this horrific disease, ALS or Lou Gehrigs Disease. KAREN & FRED - I love you guys and so admire all you did for Rusty to fill his final years with love and hope and dignity. YOU ROCK! I nominate Randy Linville, Pam Miller, Lauren W. New, Maureen Connelly Zweigle to forget about dumping a bucket of ice over your heads (unless you really WANT to!) and instead spend 6 minutes watching this video that reminds us WHY this is so important, then MAKE A DONATION. Do it for Karen and Fred, do it in memory of Rusty, do it for this guy in the video and his family, and everyone else who suffers from this awful disease.
