ok, but im not totally buying inverse correlation. I would love to because god knows my evals arent cause for celebration. I think evals are a terrible measure. But I think in part thats because we misunderstand what were measuring. As measures of student satisfaction in the moment, i think they can be pretty valid. But everyone knows that asking more of students ALMOST ALWAYS produces worse evals. That doesnt necessarily mean good teaching (she says, wishing she could assume the opposite). And i think we could ask better questions. Also, Italy (data was from Bocconi Uni). Replication of study please!
