ok, heres the problem with medical testing in mice: many of you may have heard the hoopla surrounding the baldness industry. apparently, they are hailing the fact that they can now clone hair and grow it on mice!! great right!? not so fast. at first, they were unable to grow it in the lab on human tissue samples. now, apparently they have solved that problem by tweaking the model, but are 3-5 years away from actually even testing in humans. being folically challenged myself i would still be in my 40s by the time (theoretically) this is ready to roll and yes, it would be nice to have my hair back, however, ive seen this time and time again with mice and rats whether it be cures, or causes, of disease, this shit rarely transfers to humans. i think alot of the reason its been all over the news is to create buzz and attract investors. i think someone that could cure hair loss would be more popular and be remembered throughout history to a greater degree than someone who cures cancer or aids. and thats no joke, i really do believe that. however, until that time comes, spare me the suspense and call me when youve got it done... 3am
