ok. im not a fan of these tell everyone what your grateful for and forward to some else and blah-dee-blah, so apologies in advance (scroll on) but since my dad is making me here goes: 1. i am grateful for the freedom (and stress) and lifestyle having my own small business has given me. i am even more grateful that i even got the opportunity to be in this situation at all, most people might not get that chance. 2. i am grateful for my musical life. its awesome. and the more positive i am about it (even if im not a famous rockstar yet) the more rewarding the process is, and right now its going really well. 3. i am grateful for my awesome kick-ass wife Amy, who supports me with 1 & 2, when some wives might be saying get off your ass and go to work, and make some cash-money, mine is saying, get your ass home from work and practice the piano. Which is rediculously awesome. 4. i am grateful that ive gotten to do some travel. the most fun times ive had have usually involved being overseas somewhere incredible, seeing something from a totally new perspective and eating some amazing foods. 5. im grateful ive started learning a bit about Buddhism, and have started using meditation most days. i used to be a bit of a bastard to people, and i used to have a really strong temper (turns out i have some Spanish blood) and get mega stressed and sometimes depressed for months on end. in the last few years particularly since finding meditation, i have almost totally eradicated these negative, habitual ways of dealing with problems from my life. i still have normal ups and downs, and have had some pretty heartbreaking tragedy (last year when we lost our twins - beautiful baby girls at 21 weeks into the pregnancy) but i have managed to avoid the anger i would have usually used to get through the pain, and have grown so much as a person as a result. and that is what i am most grateful about of all. sorry for the uncharacteristically gushy status. i love my friends and family. peace.
