okay...just going to rant here a little bit... and then I will be done. You may want to just scroll on past this.... Today is a very important day for me... Its Veterans Day. I have many in my family and many friends that have done service in the Armed Forces. For this reason, I VALUE what has been given to me.. MY FREEDOM, because I have not served or can even begin to think of some of the horrible things these people have had to do or see to keep me FREE and SAFE. BUT .. with that being said.... today I encountered a elderly gentleman at work. I have encountered him before and he wears his Armed Service Veterans Jacket quite proudly. He has been everything but nice to me each time I have encountered him. I have done everything to go out of my way to help him. Why? 1. Because he is an elderly gentleman in a Mart Cart with oxygen hooked up to his nose... and 2. Because in my mind his is a person of honor... A VETERAN. Today I thought... I am going up to this man and going to Thank Him for his service to not only me but our country. AND NOW I START MY RANT..... Dear Sir.... Just Because you wear a Veterans Jacket and are now in a Mart Cart ... give you NO RIGHT ... to belittle me and basically call me STUPID..... I was trying to help him find a number to a hotel in Sunrise Beach... a hotel that he didnt know the name of.. but knew it was across from the Chances R bar.... He kept saying it was Osage Beach... and I just politely said to him No..its not Osage Beach... Osage Beach is a town... and he then proceeded to say MISSY.. dont tell me I dont know what Im talking about... I lived down here for a long time and Im telling you its Osage Beach..... Now this is after 3 days before when he was looking for some medication, which I didnt know what it was and asked him to tell me what the medication is used for, that he had told me.. Well if you dont know what it is used for then theres NO REASON for me to help him He is just a GROUCHY OLD FART.... but if he would have gave me a chance... I would have still thanked him for his service... but after being belittled by him twice in 5 days... well... I just politely said... Okay... Tyler can help you out with that phone number and left. I dont give a rats ass if you have served or not served in the military... NO ONE talks to me that way..... There Im done.... carry on Troops.
