oops, my poem is not loading right on my website sooo here is the whole version :) My little birthday poem from yesterday while in Bushkill Falls! :) The sound of the rain, the warmth leaving my skin. The trees show appreciation for their thirst quenched again. Why do I miss this? This feeling of surrender. Some form of freedom, yet here I still hinder. My own worst enemy, at least the past confirms that. Today I start a new adventure. Today I wear a new hat. I am my biggest fan, held responsible for what I do. My purpose is to hold the light. Hold it and show you. Life is a mystery. At the end, of the day thats all I got. But life has its own answers, you just have to connect the dots. One more year of time, a little wiser, a little more healed. So much farther to go, but my lips will not remain sealed. Life is beautiful. Can you see it through the rain? We would not know the value of sunshine, if we didnt go through pain. Feel the wind. Smell this air. Something so soft, let it blow at your hair. Connect with this Earth, its a gift truly from God. Listen to her music. Let your head bow and nod. Sit here quietly for just a moment or two. Youll hear the messages, the ones waiting for you. God gives us wisdom and his advice is all around. All you need to do is sit; dont make a sound. For his voice is soft and strong, something that just flows. You have to allow yourself to hear it. Allow yourself to know. Know you arent alone, for each tree holds Gods love. He brought all this life to us. All of it came from above. No more worrying and stressing about this or that. Come outside and witness every bug, every bat. Its all apart of Gods beautiful kingdom. Get outside and connect; no more living in boredom. Its beautiful to bare witness to the beauty of this life. Stop allowing anger to rule you, no more dictated strife. Let go and let God for thats what he wants us to do. Give him all your worries, he will surely see you through.
