We chatted about the differences between being in a sport such as ours compared to other sports like competitive sailing, triathlons, football or equestrian show jumping. In these and most all other sports the outcome is dependent on the performance of the participant themselves compared to dog shows which can be subjective; sometimes wildly so. Exhibitors expect knowledgeable evaluations and decisions. But today it seems that perhaps that is asking too much! Personally, I feel that again and again uninformed decisions are made and intermittently, a prejudicial process of choosing accompanies such decisions.
