*reads Naruto The Last spoilers* *reads Naruto and Hinata referred to as soulmates* *does not recall any hint of this whatsoever in the manga* *finds excessive references to Naruto and Sasuke being tied together generation after generation throughout the manga instead* Wow, its almost like this movie a shippers wet dream and totally blows off about 700 chapters worth of canon just to make Hinata seem more relevant to Narutos life or something. Weird. I could deal with NaruHina being canon but did you REALLY have to breach the soulmate barrier when Naruto has had strong implications of such with someone else for the entire story ? Did you REALLY have to say Naruto only liked Sakura because she liked Sasuke ? (Which makes no sense whatsoever, but I guess that was the only way they could avoid contradicting Sakuras horseshit comment about first loves) Youve gotta have blinders on to not see how this movie is backtracking left and right with silly explanations for things just so it can continue to hold up incredibly weak ideals and themes. Frankly, Ive never read a story that fails so hard to deliver what it sets out to preach. Its incredibly over-simplified in both themes and how it deals with any challenges to those themes. Illogical tweaks made throughout just so things somehow worked for whatever gimmick Kishimoto was trying to show off next. Dont listen to those who say you cannot criticize Kishimotos work or that this doesnt reflect on him in the slightest. Be critical of what you read. Use your brain, think. Kishimoto had a wonderful idea at the start of all this but he crashed and burned and Ive never been more disappointed with a series. - tripthrutheforest © Tumblr Strongly agree !
