road closure: Vincent St. closed at Davis Dr. for storm sewer work – December 3-5 As crews relocate underground storm sewer pipes and drains across Vincent Street [just north of Davis Drive], the road will be temporarily closed for a few days. This is one of a few upcoming road closures on Vincent to complete infrastructure and road work. Additional short-term road closures will be required next year to remove curbs and sidewalks, widen the road around Vincent Street and Davis Drive, install new curbs and sidewalks and pave the work area on Vincent. Vincent Street road closure dates: Tuesday, December 3 - Thursday, December 5* what you need to know [see map]: • Vincent Street businesses are open. • Only a small segment of Vincent Street [just north of Davis Drive] will be closed. Vehicle thru-traffic from Vincent to Davis will not be permitted during the road closure. • Detour signs will be in place to guide motorists around the closure. • Due to the nature of this work, at times there will be noise. • Work hours are approximately 7am to 7pm, however the closure will stay in place overnight. bus stops, sidewalks and lane closures: • Between Lorne Avenue and Main Street, a portion of the north sidewalk on Davis Drive just east of Vincent Street is closed. To cross safely to the south sidewalk, please follow directional signs and use signalized intersections [see map]. • Pedestrian access on Vincent Street will be maintained. • The westbound GO and YRT bus stop at Vincent and Davis will not be affected. • Davis Drive will continue to be reduced to two lanes [one westbound lane and one eastbound lane] from Yonge Street to Roxborough Road. Where possible, a middle lane for left turns and emergency vehicles will be provided.
