Printing in the Cherokee Language Southwestern Community Colleges Swain Center Cherokee Printing: This class will explore printing in the Cherokee language, including historical and contemporary developments. Students will learn the basics of letterpress using a hand printing press. Students will first print in English and then produce printing projects using the Cherokee writing system while learning the basics of letterpress printing. Swain Center, Room 110 , Instructor Frank Brannon. Pick any one Thursday: October 30, November 6, November 13 or November 20. 6:00-9:00 p.m. Workshop is FREE, but pre-registration is required.
