An ancient story exists of a man called Zerubbabel, who began a great work , a work to build the temple of God. Legend says that he began the work with great fanfare, but very soon, the work was stalled by conspirators. Day after day, he would walk, staring at his half-finished work, wondering, confused, disillusioned…….what went wrong…….? Many people begin what they feel is their destiny, their purpose in life……………..but then feel like the whole world is giving way. A new business, a new venture, a new idea….…they do something that has never been done before……but then friends leave them, people talk behind their backs, the money is gone….and they feel……… so so alone….like Zerubbabel, camped in the place called disillusionment. They quit their destinies and go for something safe, something average, no longer willing to take any risks …they quit the outstanding and settle for the average. For Zerubbabel ,the story does not end here . Legend goes on to say that he receives an ancient prophecy, that tells him that the work which his hands have begun, he himself will complete. Suddenly, energized by it, Zerubbabel goes on to overcome obstacles, re-starts the work that was stalled for 17 years, and completes it in 4 years. Don’t delay anymore.
