seen elsewhere and thought it important to share. ------------------------------------ Passing this along for some of our EBCI friends and relatives. ALERT: This flyer appeared in The One Feather. The group calling themselves Cherokee Warriors of Aniyunwiya are NOT, repeat NOT the same as the Warriors of AniKituhwa. They claim to represent the Giduwa Band of Cherokee Indians which is a social group, NOT, repeat NOT the same as the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, who were known in the old days as the people of Kituhwa. The REAL Warriors of AniKituhwa are all enrolled members of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, a federally recognized tribe, and they are designated as official Cultural Ambassadors with the Museum of the Cherokee Indian as their sponsor, by resolution of Tribal Council in 2005. Accept no substitutes. The Warriors of AniKituhwa Facebook Page has a copy of the phony group and their Flyer on their page to alert people. Feel free to pass it along.
