since we are talking about #yeesus ... and #newslaves .. the only people that can explain our modern day age of slavery (monetary and mental) with full knowledge and experience are those that have access.. those that see the cogs and pulleys behind the machine. I have heard people say, "a man as rich as Kanye cant complain about being a slave." ... why not? WHy do we think that money frees people from social stigma, history and unhappiness? Maybe the slavery he refers to is his creative freedom or lack there of.. or the influence of corporations and non creative people who can influence his creative products. what we think is rich.. is not rich.. Kanye is meeting real rich people and has seen his glass ceiling. He sees the green grass and knows he is never allowed to come close to that fence. He, more than anybody should discuss the paradox and juxtaposition of being a young black man that became wealthy from entertainment.. what is it like being the best at what you do.. yet always discredited... how must if feel to make 30 million dollars in a year and some people still dont like you.. just because you are black. If you think that is not real.. well.. we have more to talk about.. (yes there are people that dont like Kanye because he seems like an asshole.. i am not talking about them) WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS .. not on Kanye, but new age slavery?
