so good. i watched this last night--the new basement tapes. the cool thing about this tune was that they tried several versions of it and Rhiannon Gidden, who wrote it, wasnt satisfied with it. then in an impromptu jam they came up with this one adding the backup singers with a single acoustic guitar (Marcus Mumford). i could so relate to the whole vibe--and the fact that each of these amazing musicians and songwriters became vulnerable as they openly collaborated with others. they each had their own insecurities about their abilities and songs. i loved how they talked about the difference between writing in your own world, by yourself, versus opening yourself up to work creatively with others. this song fit my day yesterday--losing Sula.
