so my second unfavourable sunday in a row but you wont hear me complain. acacia and i were driving up the western freeway at about 3pm today looking to exit the freeway onto coburns road. acacia insists i pay attention to her and distracted by a good song on the radio... i miss the turn off. no more than 1km up the road there is a bang and a whir from the motor and lights start flashing so i pull over. with steam puffing out the bonnet i am wondering how am i gonna get to Rosaria and Arielle for the party?. started thinking other thoughts when i remembered i was out of credit on my phone too. i remember looking at the clock and seeing the time being 3.08pm. all is good now i am home but this thought started going thru my head when the tow truck driver tells me as we are passing the Coburns road exit, that there was an accident at the first set of lights after the bridge, the poor guy died...i truely believe one of my very loved whanau that has passed on was looking over me and my girl today and whichever that person was has my eternal appreciation. i think if we had made that turn off, me and my girl wouldnt be here to appreciate it. arohanui
